Hornbill Lodge is a small, intimate lodge situated on top of Mica Point in Kariba.
Hornbill Lodge is run by Jackie Miller, it is small, personal and they make you feel very at home. It offers luxurious accommodation for 6 people in 3 individual chalets all with en-suite facilities. There is a small plunge pool allowing you to cool off whilst enjoying the view over Lake Kariba.
The main chalet offers a bar, lounge and dining area (full DSTV is available). The two front chalets are open plan, thatch making it perfectly cool to sleep in the Kariba heat. The third chalet is set back slightly so does not have quite the same views as the other two. The accommodation is fully inclusive offering 3 meals a day and all drinks. For anyone who is interested, they can take you for a courtesy drive to Kariba Heights whilst watching the sun go down, and a trip to the dam wall.
Each chalet has mosquito nets, ceiling fans and tea and coffee making facilities.
