Victoria Falls is generally an expensive resort town. This should not deter any visitor from looking out for souvenirs to take home. There are many small curio shops which are found on the business strip, but they are often expensive. The Elephants walk crafts village however, is a great place for authentic pieces in wood or stone at reasonable prices.
Big B-Mall is a brand new shopping mall that is located in the leafy suburb of Ridgeview along Bishop Gaul Avenue. It opened its doors at the beginning of 2018, as the first upmarket shopping centre in this area. It is a modern well-maintained complex which offers a secure, spacious shopping environment, far from the congested CBD. It is refreshing to find a place where one can shop and browse freely and not be mobbed by hawkers.
The Avondale Flea Market is a busy place where you can get all kinds of products. It is open 7 days a week and is easily accessible. Shoppers can expect authentic African jewellery, clothing, Artworks and flowers. The Market is much smaller than Mbare but it is also more expensive. Some interesting products to look out for are wall hangings and sarongs made from Batik cloth, a colourful hand painted fabric which is very unique and often fetches a high price.
