Victoria Falls Livingstone Island and Devil's Pool Tour

This guided tour departs from Victoria Falls and takes you across the border to Zambia's Livingstone Island for swimming and sightseeing, suited for travelers aged 12 and above.

Description

Travel by minibus across the border into Zambia to the Royal Livingstone Hotel for a safety briefing. Then, enjoy a 5-minute boat ride to Livingstone Island on the Zambezi River, guided through the current toward the spray column from the Falls.

Upon arrival at Livingstone Island, receive a welcome with a traditional African energy drink. Explore the eastern side of the island to view Rainbow Falls and the Horseshoe Falls. On the western side, see the Main Falls with water cascading over the basalt edge.

This perspective differs from the Zimbabwean side. Morning sunlight creates visible rainbows in the mist. Depending on water levels, swim under guide supervision in one of these pools at the edge of Victoria Falls: Devil's Pool, Rocky Pool, Angels Pool, or Devils Cataract Pool. You will swim upstream with a slow current and sit at the falls' edge as the torrents flow nearby.

Return to the island for a specially prepared breakfast before heading back to your hotel.
