Description
Guests are picked up from their hotel or lodge at 5:00 am for the 180 km drive to Hwange National Park via Bulawayo Road, lasting approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. Upon arrival, breakfast is served before a morning game drive.
Hwange National Park, the largest and most visited park in Zimbabwe, hosts a diverse range of animals including elephants, buffalo, lions, wild dogs, impalas, giraffes and numerous bird species. After the morning drive, guests enjoy lunch followed by an afternoon game drive.
The park features many waterholes strategically positioned for clear wildlife viewing. In the Linkwasha concession, game viewing is productive year-round with frequent sightings of lions, large herds of elephant, buffalo, leopard, white rhino, spotted hyena, southern giraffe, sable, blue wildebeest, impala, waterbuck and reedbuck.
The large open plains provide excellent game viewing. In summer, wildebeest, zebra and eland are commonly seen in abundance. During winter, waterholes attract large numbers of elephants congregating to drink.
After the afternoon game drive, guests are transferred back to Victoria Falls.
