Zimbabwe has a number of local radio stations you can tune into for information, music and news about the nation. Many radio stations broadcast 24 hours a day and you can tune in from the comfort of your home or office or plug into your favourite shows online. For a chance to sample some local music and to get acquainted with events in Zimbabwe here is a list of some of the major stations.

ZiFm Station
ZiFm Stereo is a privately-owned radio station which broadcasts from the capital city Harare. ZiFm was launched in 2012, and it broadcasts countrywide in the following languages, primarily English and the vernacular languages, Shona and Ndebele. ZiFm Stereo is predominantly a music station while some shows focus on news, current affairs and social issues shows. Besides local music and other content, there is a fair amount of international and regional content that is played as well. 
Frequency - 106.4 FM in Harare and 106.7FM in Bulawayo

PowerFM
PowerFM is a popular urban radio station which is owned by state media company Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC). Formerly known as Radio 3, the station rebranded to PowerFM in 2002. The station’s content appeals to the young urban demographic and this is evidenced in their music, shows and the youthful radio personalities. Their music catalogue includes the following genres, local jive, pop, funk, rap, reggae, rock and dancehall. PowerFM is a 24-hour radio station.
Frequency - 99.3 FM, Harare; 99.6 MHz in Bulawayo

Star FM
Star FM Zimbabwe is a private radio station owned by media group Zimpapers, it was launched in 2012. Broadcasting from the capital city Harare, they managed to garner a great following as a welcome substitute to state-owned stations. 
Frequency -- 93.1 MHz in Bulawayo and 89.7 MHz in Harare

Capitalk 100.4 FM
Capitalk 100.4FM is a sister station to Star FM. It is Harare’s premier talk radio station broadcasting on 100.4 FM. It has a catchment of over three million people, with a vision to be a credible source of news, sports, business analysis and current affairs in the country. The station tackles various issues faced daily by urbanites living in the capital.

Heart and Soul 
Heart and Soul is an online tele-radio station which broadcasts from the city of Harare. A privately owned station Heart and Soul is owned by Publishing firm Alpha Media Holdings. This station was launched in 2018. Heart and Soul Radio appeals to Urban Zimbabweans as well as listeners around the globe.

Radio Zimbabwe is a state-owned Radio station which broadcasts in vernacular languages Shona and Ndebele.  Radio Zimbabwe is a highly popular station based on its wide listenership. It broadcasts from Harare’s Mbare Studios as well as Montrose in Bulawayo.
