The city of Masvingo is a quiet charming urban centre in the heart of Zimbabwe. It is home to the historical monument the Great Zimbabwe Ruins; one of UNESCO’s Cultural World Heritage sites. Close to the Ruins lies the award-winning Ancient City Lodge. Guests will find that this luxury lodge was carefully designed and elaborately decorated, to reflect exceptional ethnic characteristics and to mirror the artistry reminiscent of the Masvingo ruins. 

Ancient City Lodge is very unique as it is expertly incorporated in the natural beauty of a granite outcrop, and the surrounding grove of Msasa trees. The entire complex’s architecture is eco- friendly and it has sweeping views of Great Zimbabwe ruins in the distance and the shining waters of Lake Mutirikwi. 

Guest Accommodation comprises double rooms, executive suites and family rooms. These units come with ensuite facilities, comfortable beds, satellite television, bath linen plus complimentary toiletries and plug points in each room. The family suites can accommodate up to four people, two adults and two children (accommodated on bunks).
