Developed Campsites – These are serviced campsites which come with built-up Barbeque points, washing area, Ablution blocks with Flushing toilet, running water, and hot showers. There are three main ones which then have smaller campsites around each. These are located at Chipinda Pools, Chinguli, and Mabalauta.
The exclusive camping sites –do not have much in terms of facilities. Each site has a fire pit and a long drop toilet (Blair toilet). They are usually found close to natural water points but campers carry their own bathwater to the campsite for bathing, cleaning, etc. These sites shift annually depending on the availability of water in the pans in the central area of Gonarezhou where these sites are found.
Wilderness Campsites – these also known as the rugged bush campsites do not offer fancy facilities as well. They offer a lot of privacy as they are not so popular. They also offer barbeque are and Blair toilet only. Campers are advised to be extremely careful to leave no litter or disrupt the natural environment.
The Chalets - Located high on the banks above the Mwenezi River in the south of Gonarezhou, Swimuwini Camp consists of eight lodges. Easily accessible from the Boli Road and Sango Border post, it is the perfect spot to explore the Mabalauta section of Gonarezhou from. There are 6 Swimuwini lodges, all were recently refurbished and offer visitors a fairly priced comfortable lodging experience. Chalets are equipped with solar geysers, lights, fridge/freezers, and fully-equipped kitchens. Guests can cook on gas stoves or in the portable braai’s available at every unit.
The Tented Camp - The tented camp at Chipinda Pools is well established and very popular. It is located at Chipinda Pools about 10minutes from Chipinda Pools Gate. There are 4 tents in all, each sleeps people (in 2 beds and 2 stretchers). Chipinda is solar-powered and there is hot water for bathing. The tents offer a developed camping experience overlooking the Runde River. Each tent is self-contained with an en-suite bathroom and adjoining kitchenette.
