Spurwing Island is a stunning island resort that makes for the ideal destination wedding setting. Stunning surroundings, some sun, water and the exclusivity all make Spurwing perfect even for intimate private functions and the team is very capable and experienced to handle all the catering (including the cake) and hosting for your function of choice. The island is located 45 minutes from Kariba town and can be accessed by boat transfer. Guests coming through can book transfers directly from Marine Land. A beautiful setting for dream weddings, Spurwing has several picturesque settings for both ceremony and reception. The island has the capacity to host up to 100 guests and for functions and accommodation facilities for fifty guests. There are three accommodation options for island guests; tents, chalets and cabins.

Additional guests for any function can be accommodated on their own houseboats which can be moored on the island. These guests have full access to the island facilities, the exception being that all their additional meals are catered on their own vessels except for the wedding meals. Other guests may also stay at surrounding lodges or camps.
Function inclusions include:

• Outdoor setting for both Ceremony and reception
• Well stocked bar – no alcohol is to be brought on to the island
• Canapés served after ceremony.
• Three course meal – The selections are flexible but there are menus couples can select from
• Equipment – Arch, trestle tables, chairs, chair covers, table cloths, fairy lights. No décor is provided, there is storage for flowers and any equipment that may be useful for your function’s décor. A list of reputable vendors can be provided should you need assistance.
• Complimentary pontoon to other island locations for bridal party pictures.

 
N.B The staff can assist with set up but for any out of the ordinary guests hosting a wedding are advised to bring their own coordinator.
