Kanga Camp
Zimbabwe
One of the tents is a honeymoon unit with a private deck for dining and relaxing in the afternoons. The honeymoon unit can also be converted into a Family unit on special request.
Deep in the Mana Pools National Park lies The Kanga wildlife camp, a hidden gem which is both stunning and serene. Kanga is found a mere 15 kms from the Zambezi River within the Rukomechi River floodplain. The camp is easily accessible via charter from Victoria Falls or from Harare.
This area is surrounded by mixed forests and is close to the Kanga Pan, the only water hole in the Park which is available year round; thus the camp draws a lot of wildlife particularly in the dry season.
Kanga is a luxury tented camp which has modern facilities designed for extreme comfort. It has a 12 bed capacity including two spacious honeymoon units which can be converted for a family set up. These units also boast of a private recreation area. All tents have ensuite bathrooms, and flush toilets.
In the main camp area is the lounge and dining area and a splash pool which can be enjoyed in the heat of the day. There is a viewing top deck which allows guests to look out at game mud bathing or drinking from the watering hole.
Activities to look forward to include; bird watching, game drives, nature walks, and ‘Arm chair safari’. Whereby guests can relax on the open lounge deck and watch various animals which frequent the water pan. Canoeing and fishing on the Zambezi may be arranged for interested guests as well.
