Pungwe Drift Cottages

A riverside site in an unspoilt forest is the setting of the Pungwe drift cottages. It is a beautiful tranquil location which is perfect for those seeking rest and relaxation.

They are 2 private self-catering cottages which accommodate five people each. Both are not electrified and for meals, guests can use either a gas or wood stove, for lighting candlelight or oil lamps are available. The cottages have a small lounge, a well-kitted kitchen, toilet and separate bathroom. The bedroom setup comprises one larger room with a double bed and a second bedroom with three single beds. All bedding is supplied but towels and toiletries are not provided.

There is a braai set up and outdoor furniture by each cottage and a cradle of wood is supplied daily for the indoor fire. For running hot water there is a boiler on the premises. When making purchases for provisions guests are reminded there is no refrigerator.

The following are some of the main activities offered at Pungwe drift cottages: canyoning, fishing, adventure ropes course in trees, abseiling, rock-climbing wall, mountain biking trails, bird watching and nature walks.
