Dzimbahwe Restaurant - African Cuisine
Dzimbahwe Restaurant is an exclusive Afro cuisine establishment that was opened in 2017. Dzimbahwe is the place where rural meets urban as the meals are prepared and served just like Gogo (grandmother) would in the rural areas. The restaurant is open for lunch (12:30- 4:30PM) from Monday to Friday and offers outdoor and indoor seating.
Dzimbahwe is perfect for intimate business lunches as it is far from the hustle and bustle of the city. They also welcome foreign guests, who would like to try the best of Zimbabwean cooking. The atmosphere at Dzimbahwe is very relaxed and the surroundings are eye catching with several ethnic paintings, sculptures and Afro inspired soft furnishings.
The menu includes tripe, fish, Nhopi, Road runner chicken, Oxtail, quail, Derere (okra), Macimbi/Madora (Mopani worms) and several starch options. All ingredients are organic to get the richest flavour and all meals are cooked on an open flame. Guests can enjoy their meal on the premises or order as takeaways. Guests can also call in and make special requests or book the venue for dinner or weekend functions.
