The perfect getaway only an hour away from Zimbabwe’s capital Harare, you will find Imire rhino and wildlife conservation reserve offering Day trips as well as overnight accommodation. Imire’s sable lodge offers an experience of a lifetime from luxurious rooms to delicious food as well as activities that may count as a once in a lifetime experience.
The activities include feeding or walking with Imire’s elephants Makabvusi and Mandebvu, being able to watch rhino feeding and game drives in which four of the big five can be seen. The game drive is offered as the day trip package as well. Following game drives a home styled lunch is served at one of Imire’s dam sites – if the weather allows - otherwise, enjoy your lunch in the dining room or sable lodge gardens. Sundowners are also offered.
Imire is centred on the endangered wildlife species Rhino. The park has 7 rhino of which include both the Wide and Hooked lip species. As the park plans to release rhino back into Zimbabwe’s national parks the rhinos at Imire are untamed followed by guards at a safe distance.
Sable lodge offers standard and family rooms which are all en-suite. The rooms offer space as well as comfort to anyone wanting to visit the reserve. There is a pool and a boma for a drink under the stars and after a day filled with activities, a much needed three-course candlelit dinner is served. You will not leave the lodge without experiencing the hospitality from the lodge staff and wildlife guides at the park doing all they can to make your stay worth your while.
