Kariba Dam Wall

Kariba Dam Wall is something you really must see when visiting Kariba you will not be disappointed. Passports or ids  are required to gain access onto the wall but it is a very simple process. You are allowed to walk the full length of the wall, and when the gates are open it is a very impressive sight, and you can sometimes feel the tremors on the wall from the sheer power of the water flowing through it. There is a great view from the wall of the lake as well as the Zambezi River down below.

Alternatively you can visit Observation Point where you can also get  a good view from Observation point which is a viewing platform above the dam wall, and to go here you do not need your passport or id.  There are some interesting history about the wall and other facts as well as a wide variety of souvenirs and curios which are perfect to take home with you.
