The Lookout Cafe
A great vantage point to see the Batoka Gorge, the Victoria Falls bridge in the distance and the river flowing beneath. The Lookout Café is one of the iconic eateries in the resort town and has always been one of the places to visit. After being gutted by fire in 2018 the café was rebuilt and it reopened in 2019 with a fresh new look, more seating space and many other great features.
The café is semi-open which makes it cool and comfortable in the heat of the day. It has a very laid back atmosphere and is ideal for light lunch after a walk in the small town or refreshing drinks as guests catch a breath after taking part in high wire activities such as Flying Fox and the Gorge Swing. It is open all week from 10 am to 7 pm in the evening, serving breakfast on weekends only. The flexible menu includes salads, sandwiches, coffees and various creative cocktails.
There is a choice of either an A’ la carte menu or a set menu. Guests can make reservations and take advantage of the free shuttle service, however, walk-in diners are still welcome. The cafe can comfortably seat 80 people and can accommodate groups making it an exclusive setting for small private functions.
The Lookout café also offers a unique monthly special which is exciting. Diners have the chance to experience an even more exceptional view of the Victoria Falls Bridge by moonlight. Moonlight dining is for one night only and the café opens from 6 pm to 10 PM.
