Kites for Peace is an apolitical, non-commercial and a non-religious global movement for peace and is a member of the Peace Coalition by Peace One Day, an organising institution of the United Nations for the International Day of Peace.
Kites for Peace Zimbabwe is a family event with a specific focus on enjoyment and appreciation for our beautiful environment and each other, with the hope of inspiring joy, peace and hope through the simple, forgotten, act of kite flying. With the inclusion of charities at our event, we hope to inspire compassion and giving. We believe that events like these are important for unity and in inspiring hope in the hearts of Zimbabweans, especially those who have fallen on hard times.
We invite the 120 projects of Zimbabwe Cares Charitable Network to use the platform to fundraise and raise awareness.
We also host various local visual and performance artists and musicians to showcase their talents.
The event has a variety of activities to inspire alternative recreational activities.
