Camelthorn Lodge is a luxurious gem found in the Ngamo forest of the Hwange National Park. Set in an acacia forest this place boasts of a wealth of birdlife and small animals such as bushbuck and squirrels which roam freely around the Lodge giving guests a truly unique African safari experience.
Camelthorn consists of 8 comfortable well-decked villas where one can enjoy the luxury of modern hot tubs and cosy fireplaces on the chilly nights. The main lodge is beautifully designed and has as its centrepiece a huge ancient Camelthorn tree spanning a 35-metre outdoor dining area. You can enjoy the panoramic view of the woodland or just sit back to the comforts of this fully catered facility. Wi-Fi is also available. Activities at Camelthorn include game viewing and pump runs; whereby guests can join the lodge staff as they drive into the heart of the park to bring supplies and water to the waterholes supported by Imvelo. There is also the opportunity to visit local the school and community to see African Life at close range.
