Tiger Safaris is a beautiful camp on the Zambezi River, situated a short distance from the Chirundu border post, making it a very easy destination to get to. Accommodation comprises five brick under thatch self-catering chalets, two full board chalets plus one family air-conditioned unit which has three bedrooms. This large chalet and has a modern open plan design, a bathroom with both shower and tub. Outdoor facilities include a braai area plus a verandah. Chalets 1 – 5 can accommodate six guests each, they all come with fully equipped kitchen. There is a newly set up bar and restaurant if guests do not want to cook.
The lodge sits on the banks of the Zambezi river and it is surrounded by rolling green lawns down to the river's edge. Guests can enjoy the braai facility, whilst watching the stunning sunset and the noises of the surrounding wildlife of hippos and elephants to name a few.
The site is perfect for guests with children, there is a swimming pool where you can cool off after your morning or afternoon fishing. There are four boats, with experienced guides who can take you to the popular fishing spots or enjoy watching game, look out for birds and take photos. Fishermen can try their hand in the waters; Vundu, Tiger fish, Chessa and bream are some of the species to look out for.
Tiger Safaris is also the perfect venue for a family wedding, as you can setup a marquee up on the lawn under the stars. The venue can accommodate up to hundred guests in total. April - July are popular months for weddings as the weather is not too hot.
